Getting to the LFA schoolhouse

From the Main Gate

Open 24 hours

  1. After entering the Main Gate, continue to 1st Street and turn left.
  2. Follow 1st Street to the stop sign, then turn right onto Range Road.
  3. Continue 1.0 mile to the ANG Schoolhouse on your right.
  4. Turn right through the schoolhouse gate, then left onto Quirk Boulevard. Continue to the parking area.

From the East Gate

Tuesday–Friday · 0600–1600 only

  1. After entering the East Gate, continue to 1st Street and turn right.
  2. Follow 1st Street to the stop sign, then turn right onto Range Road.
  3. Continue 1.0 mile to the ANG Schoolhouse on your right.
  4. Turn right through the schoolhouse gate, then left onto Quirk Boulevard. Continue to the parking area.

Getting to the student dorms / Troop Quarters

Temporary access: do not use Gate 6. Use the Air Guard Road entrance and the parking route shown below.

Area 2 gate code: Instructors will text the code approximately four days before your class starts. Use this code when the Area 2 gate is unmanned.

From I-81 South

Use Exit 85

  1. Take Exit 85 and continue on Fisher Avenue.
  2. Before entering the Main Gate, turn right onto Biddle Drive. Continue 2.9 miles.
  3. Turn left onto Quartermaster Road and continue 2.9 miles.
  4. Do not use the Troop Quarters entrance at Gate 6. At the next intersection, turn right onto Fisher Avenue.
  5. Continue approximately 0.25 mile, then turn right onto Air Guard Road.
  6. Enter through the gate and continue straight. The road becomes York Road.
  7. Continue approximately 0.25 mile to the gravel parking lot on your left, to the left of VM.
  8. Park, then walk across the bridge and follow the sidewalk up to the dorms.

From I-81 North

Use Exit 90

  1. Take Exit 90 and bear right onto Fisher Avenue.
  2. Continue 1.8 miles, then turn right onto Air Guard Road.
  3. Enter through the gate and continue straight. The road becomes York Road.
  4. Continue approximately 0.25 mile to the gravel parking lot on your left, to the left of VM.
  5. Park, then walk across the bridge and follow the sidewalk up to the dorms.
