DRIVING DIRECTIONS
IMPORTANT NOTICE
As of August 2026, LFA Students will need to enter
through an access control point and provide a valid military ID for entry.
The main base is now secured and is accessible through the 24-hour Main Gate on Fisher
Ave or the East Gate (Tue-Fri 0600-1600 Only!) Please note, student dorms are NOT within the
gated perimeter.

From the Main Gate to the LFA
After entering the Main Gate, continue on base until you reach 1st Street and turn left onto 1st St. Follow 1st Street until the stop sign and
turn right onto Range Road. Drive 1.0 miles and the ANG Schoolhouse is on the right side of the road, turn right through the gate, and turn left
onto Quirk Blvd and continue to the parking area.
From the East Gate to the LFA (East Gate Hours are Tue-Fri from 0600-1600)
After entering the East Gate, continue on base until you reach 1st Street and turn right onto 1st St. Follow 1st Street until the stop sign and
turn right onto Range Road. Drive 1.0 miles and the ANG Schoolhouse is on the right side of the road, turn right through the gate, and turn left
onto Quirk Blvd and continue to the parking area.
Driving directions from Interstate 81 South to the Troop Quarters
Take Exit 85 and continue on Fisher Avenue. Before entering the main gate, turn RIGHT onto Biddle Drive and continue for 2.9 miles; turn
left on Quartermaster Rd and continue for 2.9 miles. As of August 2026 you can not use the Troop Quarters (Gate 6). At the next intersection, turn right onto Fisher Avenue. Approximately .25 miles, turn right onto Air Guard Rd. Enter through the gate and continue straight. The road turns into York Road, continue approximately .25 miles to gravel parking lot on your left (to the left of VM). After parking, walk across the bridge and up the sidewalk to the dorms.
Instructors will text students the gate code approximately 4 days prior to class start date for the Area 2 gate to use when it is unmanned.
Driving Directions from Interstate 81 North to the Troop Quarters
Take Exit 90 and bear right off the exit to Fisher Avenue, continue for 1.8 miles, turn right onto Air Guard Rd. Enter through the gate and continue straight. The road turns into York Road, continue approximately .25 miles to gravel parking lot on your left (to the left of VM). After parking, walk across the bridge and up the sidewalk to the dorms.
